Blume is a concept for a perfume brand inspired by the natural beauty of flowers. Each scent is carefully crafted to blend classic floral notes with modern elegance, offering fragrances that feel timeless and luxurious (brief by @designerbriefs on instagram).

The challenge for this brand was to make it look classical without feeling old, and simple and timeless without looking generic. I used for the packaging a photo from Death to Stock of a closeup of a lily flower, taken from the bottom up. The angle of the photo is original, and added a touch of freshness to the brand.
I used the cursive typeface Rosmerta in the logo. It is an elegant typeface, and I combined it in other types of copy with Marion Regular. Marion is a transitional serif; it has the classical structure of Century Roman and high-contrast strokes inspired by Baskerville. In the words of its publisher Typodermic, it “bridges the gap between centuries with effortless grace”, and it has “historical allure with modern sensibility”. That made it a great fit for Blume’s timelessness and classic feel.
The background of the carton packaging and perfume label is white. The palette includes shades of Mountbatten Pink - a soft muted pink with hints to lavender, reminiscent of vintage floral pattern, and Papaya Whip. The latter is often seen inside the petals of flowers.
